Lewiston, Maine - Oxford Networks has once again been honored as a “Best Places to Work” company in the state of Maine. The company was honored for the fifth year in a row by the Best Companies Group at an award ceremony held at the Ramada Inn, Lewiston.
According to Craig Gunderson, Oxford Networks president and CEO, “To be recognized as a Best Places to Work company for five straight years tells us that we have a great team of employees who continue to accomplish incredible things in this challenging economy. Winning this award helps us to continue to attract and retain the most talented employees. They in turn deliver outstanding customer service that helps us win in the marketplace. It is a great honor.”
According to Human Resources Director Dawna Hannan the award is particularly gratifying because it is largely determined by feedback from employees. “Our employees are given a very comprehensive survey asking for their input on what it is like to work at Oxford Networks. The fact that we score very high in various categories validates the company culture we try to create at the company.”
Oxford Networks company culture is based on the ITRUST set of shared values. Employees are encouraged to consider the values of Integrity, Truth, Risk Taking, Uniqueness, Selflessness, and Trust in working with each other and with Oxford Networks customers. The company culture empowers employees to be leaders and to make decisions in the best interest of the company and customers.
According to Oxford Networks employee Diane Dunn, “Oxford Networks has a very open and honest culture, investing many hours each month keeping employees informed of our corporate results and goals. Oxford Networks creates opportunities for employees, communities and customers, and employees enjoy working at Oxford.”
